Multi-touchpoint PR – do you engage?

Christophe Ginisty, former deputy managing director of Edelman EMEA and founder of agencies Rumeur Publique and Open Agency, recently used his blog[1] to describe the main goal of modern PR: to “establish mutually beneficial relationship between the organization and the targeted public.” Public Relations is all about maintaining a constant dialogue with the audience and engaging in experiences that are relevant to their interests.

The rapid proliferation of social networks creates countless opportunities for brands to communicate with their audiences. But these new opportunities also present new challenges for PR professionals: should they strive for ongoing engagement at every touchpoint, or use every available channel to capture the audience’s attention?
