Ad Age: 10 things you need to know now about programmatic buying

Earlier this week AdAge.com posted a piece entitled 10 Things You Need to Know Now About Programmatic Buying. In the post, Alex Kantrowitzcovers various points on how the ad-tech industry has grown and where it can still be improved.

Whether you currently buy ads programmatically or you’re still considering it (and you should be), Kantrowitz brings up some useful insights about how things are changing for marketers. For instance, programmatic ad sales increased by $5 billion from 2014. With that kind of jump, it’s probably more than safe to say that ad-tech is not something that’s going away any time soon.

You’ll also find some interesting facts about how programmatic relates to mobile and social media. Not to mention, ways that you can target your purchases based on valuable criteria like viewability. Kantrowitz states, "You can get as granular as buying only the top 10% of ads that are viewed for the longest time."
