Kantar Twitter TV ratings enhanced with sentiment analysis in the UK and Spain
As part of our ongoing commitment to develop the Kantar Twitter TV Ratings, we are pleased to extend the service to include Sentiment Analysis, allowing greater insight into the conversations happening around TV programmes on Twitter.
Sentiment Analysiswill allow users of Instar Social, the intuitive dashboard used to analyse the Kantar Twitter TV Ratings, to understand the underlying emotions behind Tweets.
At a top line level users can understand if conversations about a show are generally more positive, negative or neutral, and rank programs according to negative or positive sentiment in the leaderboards.
Users will also be able to delve into the underlying emotion behind positive and negative Tweets, as the sentiment analysis further categorises results into ‘attitudes’ or ‘opinions’ that come through in conversations around TV shows such as joy, anticipation, insults and sadness.
These emotions are also filterable subcategories, with filtered Tweets showing up on the minute by minute graph to demonstrate at what point those emotions were experienced by the Tweeters.
The Kantar Twitter TV Ratings are currently available in the UK and Spain, and are soon to launch in other markets. Sentiment analysis is available through Instar Social now.
