Day 9 - Wimbledon 2018

Who are Wimbledon fans, and what are their media consumption habits and behaviours? 

Another thrilling Wimbledon tournament took place this summer and to celebrate we created a few different infographics taking a close look at Wimbledon fans and players. 

We leveraged our Sportscope consumer data to focus on tennis fans across six major markets where watching tennis is particularly popular (US, UK, China, Brazil, France and Australia) to gain a deeper understanding of these fans as consumers.  

In four of the countries, more men than women had an interest in tennis, with Australia the only country with more female interest and an even split in China. Football was found to be a particular popular sport amongst tennis fans as an alternative interest. Click the image to find out more.  

Marking 50 years of the Wimbledon Open Era, we created a unique interactive infographic breaking down every winner in the last 50 years by country, gender and number of championships.
