Varadkar's Pence meeting sparks flurry of online coverage
Ireland’s Prime Minister, Leo Varadkar, was in the USA last week to reaffirm the longstanding shared history between the two countries. Whilst in Washington, Leo and his partner, Matt Barrett, met with Vice-President Mike Pence, who has a history of anti-LGBTQ views. Varadkar delivered a thought provoking speech and called out against discrimination.
Using our Live Search data, which looks back at 12 months of historical online news articles, we can see how the online media reacted to this moment.
