An endless stream of ads dropping into an email inbox is a waking nightmare for most regular people. For me, it’s one of the joys of the political-ad beat.
Thanks to a handy service from Kantar Media/CMAG, my inbox regularly fills with alerts telling me that a new political advertisement has run in a new market, with a link to the captured ad to watch.
And despite my previously admitted email inbox problem (I currently have 57,156 unread emails), every one of these alerts gets opened, watched and digested.
Recently, the pace has picked up as the ad wars of the 2016 elections have turned into high gear. On Wednesday alone I got 11 emails alerting me to new ads.
