How are hospital executives using the internet for work?

Hospital executives' Internet use has barely shifted since 2011, comparable to this group’s smartphone usage, according to Kantar Media’s Sources & Interactions Study – Hospital Management Edition. Despite the fact that these numbers have not increased in two years, hospital executives still report using the Internet more often and for longer periods of time for professional purposes than other groups of healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists and dentists.

Many hospital execs reported using the Internet to access news information, for research purposes and to read publication articles.

Kantar Media’s Sources & Interactions™ Studies offer a detailed examination of healthcare professionals’ online and mobile activities, e-detailing experience, and exposure to (and evaluation of) information sources including traditional and emerging media, pharma reps, CME, conventions and more. The Hospital Management Edition, conducted every two years, is designed to profile hospital executives’ media use in areas of interest to healthcare marketers and media professionals.
