Per a safety warning from the FDA issued on May 3rd, 2016, Kantar Media’s CMAG has monitored a new spot in the Miami market, airing today, May 9th, on WSFL [CW affiliate] at 6:19AM.
CMAG has seen a noticeable uptick in mass tort advertising targeting users of Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s Abilify; from $7K in January up to $267K in April. This drug, prescribed to treat mental health disorders such as schizophrenia and depression, is alleged to cause compulsive behaviors such as gambling, binge eating and binge shopping.
