Margo Swadley Named Managing Director of UK TV and Video Measurement

Kantar Media, a world leader in audience research, today announced the appointment of Margo Swadley as Managing Director, UK TV & Video Measurement. Margo joins Kantar Media from the BBC, having held roles including Director, Marketing & Audiences, BBC Charter and Acting Director of Audiences, BBC.  She served as a BARB Board member for three years. Prior to the BBC, Margo held senior client-facing roles at Added Value and Research International. Margo was awarded the accolade of best paper at the 2014 asi International TV Symposium.

This new appointment reflects the growing scale and complexity of audience measurement in the UK as Kantar Media accelerates its development and deployment of techniques to measure television viewing across all platforms and devices.

In her new role, Margo will take responsibility for Kantar's contracts to provide panel and census measurement services to BARB, the UK industry body for TV measurement. She will work closely with BARB and its key stakeholder groups to lead Kantar Media's implementation of BARB's strategy, including the introduction of the TV player report and measurement of viewing on tablets.
