Britain's Got Talent returns for Series 11
One of Britain’s most popular talent shows is back on screen setting Twitter on fire over Easter weekend. Britain’s Got Talent Series 11 had a successful start, with a massive 46,851 24/7 Tweets. As top Tweeted show of the week by far, the show attracted 18.8M Total Impressions with over 25,370 Unique Authors.
Stephen Mulhern hosts for the 11th year in a row whilst Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams return for a fifth consecutive series as the awesome foursome judges. This mix proved to create another emotional roller coaster of a show, with 27% of all Tweets being Positive and Admiration being the top emotion followed by Sadness. Cowell remains the big boss of BGT with his Twitter handle being amongst the top used.
Audiences are in for a treat with more popstars in the making and entertaining animal acts, as the show promises to make dreams come true. The Missing People Choir, which has Kate McCann as an ambassador, was among the acts that impressed judges, being the top mentioned hash tag and with their performance causing a peak number of Tweets at 1,011 in a minute. Majority of the Tweeters were female (61.6%) whilst 47% were aged 21-34 years.
