Kantar Media is a leading company in media measurement in over 60 countries worldwide. Since 1951, we operate a number of panels that measure media behaviour, including how people watch, read, listen to and generally interact with different kinds of media
In the US, Kantar Media manages the Panorama panel.
The Panorama Panel has been established in partnership with the ANA (the Association of National Advertisers) to develop a cross-media measurement solution in the USA. ANA represents brands and companies that advertise in the US and aims to make advertising more relevant to you.

How are data used?
As a panelist, you are part of a larger, highly secure, privacy preserving media measurement solution for the US advertising industry. The role of the panel is to train models that predict how many people see adverts across the US. These models simply provide aggregate data for the number of people who saw an advertisement across Television and selected online platforms such as Google & Meta.
For instance, we’ll be able to find out that 13million 25-34yr old women saw an ad across Television, Google & Meta. Your personal information will not be shared with any broadcasters or global platforms. The information provided by our panel is used to understand how popular, or not, particular types of media are in the US – as well as how many people watch specific TV shows or videos through different apps on devices, such as mobile phones and laptops.
The Panorama panel has been designed to address the needs of advertisers, who want to understand consumer behaviours and plan campaigns across digital and broadcast platforms. It will ultimately help the industry make better media and advertising for you.
How we do it?
The Panorama panel is made up of a group of people and households who have agreed to share their TV and internet habits. To make sure it accurately represents the whole population, the members have been selected from different regions across the US. Panel membership is by invitation only.
You’ll be asked to provide your explicit consent every step of the way as we ask you to install meters to help us monitor your viewing. We do not monitor everything quite deliberately – in fact we only measure a restricted list of media outlets because we’re only interested in your media consumption. We will not be tracking your retail or banking activities for instance. You will be compensated for your efforts and partner with us to improve media experience.
